| Dedicated to Patrick McGoohan's cult TV series "The Prisoner", this site offers an extensive range of information, graphics, original artwork and music. The exteriors for THE PRISONER were filmed largely in Portmeirion in North Wales which was the setting for the mysterious "Village" in which Patrick McGoohan's character Number Six was incarcerated. The first episode, Arrival, set the tone and pace for this sixties cult TV series which constantly broke new ground and posed more questions than it answered. The final episode, Fall Out, did little to explain exactly who was running The Village or even why Number Six was there in the first place. Is "The Prisoner" an allegory, or a comment on life, is it science fiction or is it just a fast paced action adventure? Don't ask me - that would be telling! |
